Washington, D.C. – The House Judiciary Committee today approved the Michael Davis, Jr. and Danny Oliver in Honor of State and Local Law Enforcement Act (H.R. 2431) by a vote of 19-13. This bill, introduced by Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee Vice-Chairman Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), strengthens immigration enforcement, enhances public safety, protects national security, and ensures the rule of law. The Davis-Oliver Act, named after Placer County Detective Michael Davis, Jr.
