Washington, D.C.— The House of Representatives today approved the Regulations From the Executive In Need of Scrutiny Act (REINS Act) (H.R. 427) by a vote of 243-165. This bill, sponsored by Congressman Todd Young (R-Iowa.), curbs unnecessary regulations from agencies and holds federal bureaucrats accountable for imposing the heaviest burdens on America's economy.

Washington, D.C. – The House of Representatives today unanimously approved the Need-Based Educational Aid Act of 2015 (S. 1482). Former House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) is the sponsor of the House version of this legislation, which was reported out of the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month.
Chairman Goodlatte: The Secret Service has two primary missions: criminal investigations and protection of the President, Vice-President, and other dignitaries. As a result, the Secret Service is entrusted with protecting some of our most valuable assets. This is an extremely difficult, high-profile mission in an environment with zero margin for error.

This bipartisan bill – authored by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), Ranking Member John Conyers (D-Mich.), Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), and Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee Ranking Member Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) – reforms the United States Secret Service.
