Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) today issued the following statement on the opening of the new Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office (VOICE) at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement:
“Decades of lax enforcement have wreaked havoc on American communities and innocent Americans from coast to coast have lost their lives at the hands of unlawful immigrants. Several of these victims’ family members have testified before the House Judiciary Committee and have spoken out about how the lack of enforcement has devastated their families.
