Chairman Goodlatte: In preventing child victimization, Congress, working in tandem with law enforcement, has long recognized the importance of monitoring sex offenders. In 1994, Congress passed the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act.
