Washington, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed by a vote of 233-175 the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act (H.R. 3697). This bill, introduced by Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-Va.), Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.), Immigration and Border Security Subcommittee Chairman Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho), and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) combats gang violence by criminal aliens and enhances public safety.

Washington, D.C. - On Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., the Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law will hold an oversight hearing to examine potential antitrust concerns with the expansion of state occupational licensing. Although the original purpose of occupational licensing was to protect public health and safety, an increasing number of states require licensure for a variety of tangentially related occupations.
