Washington, D.C. - Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., the Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “Competition and Bankruptcy in the Airline Industry: The Proposed Merger of American Airlines and US Airways.” This hearing will examine the proposed merger’s effects on competition and consumers in the airline industry.

Washington, D.C. - Today, a bipartisan group of top lawmakers from the House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to President Obama requesting that the Committee be granted the opportunity to review all Justice Department documents pertaining to the legal justification of drone strikes on Americans overseas. Earlier this week, the Administration authorized the release of these memos to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees but has yet to provide them to the House Judiciary Committee, which is charged with oversight of the Justice Department and the U.S.
Washington, D.C. - Under much pressure, President Obama agreed last night to hand over, to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, the Justice Department documents pertaining to the legal justification of drone strikes on Americans overseas. The Obama Administration has stated that they will not share these documents with the House Judiciary Committee, the committee charged with oversight over the Department of Justice and the U.S. Constitution.
