Washington, D.C. -- House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) called on the Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation to provide the House Judiciary Committee with all information presented to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) to allegedly obtain a warrant based on politically-motivated opposition research. Earlier this year, media reports indicated that in 2016, the FBI used information contained in a controversial dossier to justify a FISA warrant against Carter Page, a onetime advisor to President Trump’s presidential campaign.

Washington, D.C. – The House of Representatives today approved a bill to protect the Second Amendment and curb gun violence, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 (H.R. 38). This bipartisan bill, sponsored by Representative Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), allows people with a state-issued concealed carry license or permit, or individuals who are citizens of states that do not require a permit to carry a concealed firearm, to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that allows concealed carry, as long as the individual follows the laws of that state.
