Republicans on three House committees on Monday requested a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris over what they described as a "catastrophe" at the southern border -- amid accusations that the Biden administration’s policies have fueled the historic surge in migrants.

WASHINGTON — Today, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, demanding that the Chairman invite DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to testify at a full committee hearing examining the Biden border crisis. Excerpts from the letter: "The Biden border crisis continues to worsen every day. Last week several Republican Committee Members traveled to the southern border to observe firsthand the dire consequences of President Biden’s radical immigration policies.
