Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., the House Judiciary Committee will hold another hearing as part of the Committee’s comprehensive copyright review and U.S. Register of Copyrights Maria Pallante will testify before the Committee regarding the Copyright Office’s perspective on updates to U.S. copyright law.

Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Constitution and Civil Justice Subcommittee Chairman Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) introduced the Fairness in Class Action Litigation Act of 2015 (H.R. 1927) to strengthen federal class action lawsuit rules by ensuring victims who have experienced actual or comparable injury are justly compensated.

The bill reinforces and supplements current requirements so that the Executive Branch and its regulatory agencies release information about planned new regulations in a more detailed and timely manner.
