House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte welcomed five new Republican members to the House Judiciary Committee for the 114th Congress. We will profile each new member in a five-part series.

Ken Buck represents the Fourth Congressional District of Colorado. After graduating from Princeton University and Wyoming University College of Law, Ken worked for Congressman Dick Cheney (R-WY) on the Iran-Contra Investigation.  He served as a prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice. Washington, D.C. – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) issued the statement below on the federal indictment unsealed yesterday charging six people with supporting terrorist organizations, including the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. All six individuals are natives of Bosnia who immigrated to the United States, three of whom have become naturalized citizens and the other three have either refugee or legal resident status.

Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, February 4th at 1:00 p.m., the Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law Subcommittee will hold a legislative hearing on H.R. 526, the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency Act of 2015 (FACT Act), introduced by Regulatory Reform Subcommittee Vice-Chairman Blake Farenthold (R-Texas). The FACT Act reduces fraud in the asbestos bankruptcy trust system through increased transparency measures.
