WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement will hold a hearing on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The hearing, "Sanctuary Policies, Tragic Consequences," will examine how sanctuary policies, specifically in California, Colorado, and Maryland, endanger communities by putting the interests of criminal aliens ahead of the interests of Americans.


 WITNESSES:

  • Patricia Fox, Mother of Carissa "Luu" Aspnes, who was permanently disabled after a hit-and-run crash in Colorado involving an illegal alien from Venezuela
  • Marcus Coleman, Father of Dalilah Coleman, who was permanently disabled after an illegal alien caused a multi-car crash
  • Jeffrey Gahler, Sheriff, Harford County, Maryland, who is a plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging Maryland's recently enacted sanctuary law
