WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight will hold a hearing on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. ET. The hearing, "False Narratives Surrounding Conditions at the Delaney Hall ICE Detention Center," will examine the importance of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers, including the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, New Jersey. Specifically, the hearing will explore how recent protests at Delaney Hall have disrupted ICE's immigration enforcement efforts and put public safety at risk.
