This hearing is the first in a series of Subcommittee hearings on competition in the health care marketplace. The witnesses for Thursday’s hearing will be:

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law Subcommittee Chairman Tom Marino (R-Pa.) released the following statement prior to the hearing: “The Committee will start its series of hearings on competition in the health care marketplace with a broad examination of competition within the hospital, insurance and physician marketplaces. Since its enactment, Obamacare has had a significant impact on each of these markets. Americans are already starting to see their medical bills rise, the quality of their care becoming diminished, and their options for care becoming more limited. Next week’s hearing will add to the growing record of how Obamacare led to each of these results, and why the broken law demands repeal.” The hearing will take place in 2141 Rayburn House Office Building and will be webcast live at /. Camera crews wishing to cover must be congressionally credentialed and RSVP with the House Radio-TV Gallery at (202) 225-5214.
