House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) released the following statement in advance of Wednesday’s hearing.

Chairman Goodlatte: “The goal of the House Judiciary Committee’s comprehensive copyright review has been to determine whether the copyright laws are still working in the digital age to reward creativity and innovation.  Next week the Committee will continue our review and hear from Maria Pallante, the Register of Copyrights.  In her role as the head of the Copyright Office, Ms. Pallante has a unique perspective regarding the copyright issues that have arisen with the advancement of technology.”
