Goodlatte, Conyers, Labrador, Jackson Lee and Others to Hold Press Conference on Sentencing Reform Bill

Washington, D.C.  – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), Ranking Member John Conyers (D-Mich.), Congressman Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee Ranking Member Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), and other members of the House Judiciary Committee will hold a press conference on THURSDAY at 9:15AM ET on bipartisan sentencing reform legislation. This is the first bill that will be introduced as a result of the Committee’s bipartisan criminal justice reform initiative. The Committee continues to work on additional bills that address other aspects of the criminal justice system, including over-criminalization, prison and reentry reform – including youth and juvenile justice issues – improved criminal procedures and policing strategies, and civil asset forfeiture reform.
