WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust will hold a hearing on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The hearing, "Pier Pressure: Regulation and Competition in Maritime Shipping," will examine issues of competition and regulation in maritime shipping. It will also explore the current state of competition between ocean carriers and the merits of the Shipping Act antitrust exemption.
