WASHINGTON, D.C. - The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet will hold a hearing on Tuesday, February 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The hearing, "Justice Delayed: The Crisis of Undermanned Federal Courts," will examine the current crisis facing the U.S. justice system as a result of the significant and lasting shortage of judges in U.S. federal courts, including the impact on criminal and civil cases in federal courts, timelines for resolution, and the pressing need for additional judgeships.
