WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet will hold a hearing on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The hearing, "AI at a Crossroads: A Nationwide Strategy or Californication?," will examine how preempting a patchwork of state-level regulations - which could hinder innovation and impose significant costs on the industry - can help reverse misguided regulatory actions in the states and restore clarity and predictability.
