Ranking Member Smith:  “While it is disappointing that Judge Bolton is siding with the Obama administration against Arizona’s immigration enforcement law, it is not surprising that a Democratic appointee would do so.  The federal government has failed to do its job of securing the border and enforcing immigration laws for too long.  Today’s ruling from this federal judge will be seen by Arizonans – and the majority of Americans who support the law – as just another in the long line of federal failures to deal with illegal immigration and border security.  If there is an upside to the Justice Department’s suit, it is that the Obama administration admits it is their responsibility to enforce the law.  What concerns me is whether they will actually do it."
