Judiciary to Hold Oversight Hearings Wednesday
on Antitrust Enforcement Agencies
What: Oversight hearing on, "The Antitrust Enforcement Agencies: The Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice."

As part of its oversight function, the Rules of the House of Representatives require the Committee on the Judiciary to review and study the application, administration and execution of the antitrust laws by the Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice. The Committee last held a general oversight hearing on these two agencies in November of 1997 .
